Tuesday
seven
About once every three months I find myself, in bed, sleeping with my clothes. It piles up faster than a wave crashes to shore and it's frightening. It may be from one late night trying on everything in my closet before dancing out the door in nothing but black, because that's all my indecisive soul could dream of. So, after one long shower. I made a decision. In order to drain the madness, I will start with seven. Seven of every item in my wardrobe. Seven sweaters, seven t-shirts, seven scarfs...you get the picture. So it will all be settled by the 7th of March. Stay tuned...
Monday
Love & Lunch at the Farm
It was a chilly Saturday at the farm filled with roasted vegetables, fresh bread and champagne. Followed by chocolate bars & glitter.

Wednesday
seeds of spring
in the deep of winter i graze through seed catalogs
looking forward to this season on the farm
soon spring will creep up
Tuesday
look up
white clouds tye-dye a blue sky
strangers laugh in the distance & birds sing
[i re-read the moment]
it seems clique
a small figment of the future
but i am here & so are you
sometimes we just forget to look around

the power of the coffee shop
feel the warmth when you enter the door. The rustic, perfectly imperfect decor feels as real as the fresh baked choc-o-pains.
greetings from the jolly lady
who knows your name & your drink
which she pours into a plain white cup.
the authentic minimalism of it all helps to keep us grounded (no pun intended).

Monday
resolutions
[we all want to be the best version of ourselves]
thinner
prettier
kinder
happier
but what about the little things.
listening to new tunes, slowing down, making a meal with the ones you love.
[the little things will make us the best versions of ourselves]
being thankful for what we have. our senses. our health. our dreams and our opportunities.
here is to a year filled with positive thoughts suffocating the negative ones. to slow walks and long thoughts followed with a glass of wine and acceptance.
happy new year.

Thursday
echoes of love
the owls are flirting
high in the trees
typewriter is ink-less
no one left to please

Wednesday
samson.
i dreamt i was in an oversized victorian house. where each room had a different theme depending on how the visitor was feeling. black walls, tiled floors to chipped cream and woodwork. it was a salon for hair.
i needed a change. again. as if the hairs on our head should mean anything at all. samson wouldn’t question our theories. i sat in a chair that moved up and down with ease. the room filled with people and opinions. i wondered if it was my hair i wanted to change.
as the building started to burn i was the only one left remaining. i woke to rain.

Sunday
smile.
wave after wave
the crisp cloudless sky vanishes
the foam of the ocean is home
tumbling through the madness
i can't help but smile
wondering what this must look like from shore

Saturday
summer in the city.

the air was warm and the sky clear.
strangers surrounded us.
smoke filled the stage and music, the air.
Tuesday
strawberry stream
I adore looking through old photo albums. It's strange to think I have placed most of these memories, thoughts and images in the back of my dusty mind. It's like all of these subconscious lessons have been learned through vintage telescopes and foggy magnifying glasses. I wonder what the others see. If they imagine the past as vividly and peaceful as I. Perhaps I'm just an optimistic dreamer, floating down a strawberry stream.
Monday
on time (monday, monday)
once again.
i'm left here feeling unfulfilled, uninspired,
empty.
my mind gets caught up in the assembly line of life
and soon i realize,
another year has floated by.

Tuesday
tuesday’s surprise
tuesday oh tuesday
what a surprise
the sky is stretching
as it plans tuesday’s demise
oh what to do
with such a young day
simply close your eyes
and go the opposite way
no need to worry
or hold back your dreams
let your mind loose
and release childish schemes
while the sun is setting
in the fickle sky
remember tuesday will be back
as you slowly wave goodbye
Thursday
Tuesday

INSPIRING
Thursday
time slips away
it's that time in the evening
when the world is asleep
time slips away
and the universe is smiling
...slow down
relax breathe...
all while
the crimson tip
is begging to be lit
